Okay, so maybe I don’t want you to be mean, but I do want you to be able to know how to clean your home the all-natural way. These days there’s so much emphasis on “going green” that sometimes it’s hard to keep track of what\u00a0it even means.<\/span><\/p>\n

For me, the definition of “green cleaning” is using as many natural products as you possibly can in order to improve the health and reduce the amount of toxic\u00a0chemicals used \u00a0in your home. If you need more reason than this, just go grab one of the cleaners underneath your kitchen sink and read some of the ingredients. Pretty scary, huh?<\/p>\n

Here are some useful tips to get you started on your green cleaning mission:
\n\u2022Use old cotton tshirts or soft rags to clean instead of throwing away dozens of
\npaper towels.<\/p>\n

\u2022Clean your windows with an even mixture of rubbing alcohol and witch hazel
\nOR\u00a0 with a mixture of one part lemon juice to three parts water<\/p>\n

\u2022Mix a paste of flour, salt, and vinegar in equal parts for a metal polishing
\ncleaner. Apply the paste and let completely dry. Rinse with clean, cold water
\nand dry thoroughly with a clean towel.<\/p>\n

\u2022Polish wood furniture with a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice (also doubles
\nas a salad dressing!)<\/p>\n

\u2022Clean your bathroom with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar.<\/p>\n

\u2022Have your air ducts professionally cleaned\u00a0 <\/a>to get rid of dust, allergens, and
\nmake your system more energy efficient.<\/p>\n

\u2022Remove all the clutter from your home and recycle it by donating it to charity
\nor maybe selling it on ebay! (Nothing wrong with making a little bit of change
\noff your old unwanted items.)<\/p>\n
