So, mine doesn&#8217;t get quite dirty enough, fast enough, for it to scream &#8220;Clean Me!!&#8221; Honestly, the toaster is just covered in crumbs right, just a quick wipe down will clean the toaster right? Wrong, I actually touched the toaster not on the lever thingy and realized that it was sticky. How does this thing get so sticky and grimy?!? I also say that about everything else in my house too. Ugh. While the source of the sticky and grime will remain a mystery, although possibly tied to someone&#8217;s fingers, I have a great tip on <strong>how to clean the toaster<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4555 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/how-to-clean-the-toaster-1.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"488\" height=\"650\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/how-to-clean-the-toaster-1.webp 488w, https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/how-to-clean-the-toaster-1-225x300.webp 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 488px) 100vw, 488px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you can see in the photo above the toaster looks not to bad, however, between the dust, crumbs and seemingly harmless water stains is a nice layer of butter goo, crystallized jam and other nonsense. I have included a photo for your&#8230; pleasure? To get this goo off you will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hot soapy water<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning cloth<\/li>\n<li>Magic eraser<\/li>\n<li>to unplug the toaster<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4556 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/clean-the-toaster-1.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/clean-the-toaster-1.webp 650w, https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/clean-the-toaster-1-300x214.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Wipe down the outside of the toaster with the cleaning cloth and the hot soapy water. If all of the stuff doesn&#8217;t come off, leave it; the magic eraser will do the heavy duty removal<\/li>\n<li>Pull out the crumb tray and wipe it down with the hot, soapy water and cloth. Yes, there is a crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster.<br \/>\n<img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4557 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/cleaning-the-toaster-1.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"487\" height=\"650\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/cleaning-the-toaster-1.webp 487w, https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/cleaning-the-toaster-1-225x300.webp 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 487px) 100vw, 487px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Take a magic eraser and scrub the stubborn goo\u00a0off everything like the metal top part and the crumb tray.<br \/>\n<img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4558 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/clean-toaster-1.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/clean-toaster-1.webp 650w, https:\/\/kiwiservices.com\/angela-says\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/clean-toaster-1-300x214.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><br \/>\nSee it&#8217;s gone! While I&#8217;m pretty sure that this has no effect on how well the toaster toasts toast but it does improve the visual appeal of the toaster and the ick factor.
