Salt makes a fantastic natural cleaning agent. I mean, it makes sense right? We use salt scrubs at the spa, which have an exfoliating effect on our skin and our nails, so why wouldn’t they give our homes a good scrubbing as well?<\/p>\n

\u2022Use salt to clean a coffee pot. Don’t you get embarrassed when you have guests, and you want to fix them a cup of coffee but are totally mortified by the way your coffee pot looks? You find yourself saying things like, “I promise that the coffee that comes out of here tastes good!” To avoid the embarrassment of a grimy coffee pot, put 2-3 tablespoons of salt in the pot and run some hot water through the cycle. Scrub once it’s been completely “brewed.”<\/p>\n
\u2022 Use salt for an all-purpose cleaner. Mix together 1 part salt and 2 parts white distilled vinegar in a plastic spray bottle. Shake very well. Salt and soda water also works just as well.
\n\u2022Unclog a stubborn kitchen drain. Boil three cups of water in a pot with 2 tablespoons of salt. This should clear out most kitchen drain problems in no time!<\/p>\n
\u2022Get rid of the onion smell on your hands. Did you just cook something with onion or garlic? Rub your hands with a salt and vinegar mixture to remove the pungent smell of onions.<\/p>\n
