During the holiday season, it seems like we’re constantly in the car going somewhere. But along the way to school plays, gift shopping, grandma’s house, and work, our car gets filled with junk and gunk.<\/p>\n
Luckily, there are some simple ways to get the interior of your car sparkling clean during the busiest time of the year!<\/p>\n
You will need:
\n\u2022 A garbage bag
\n\u2022 A plastic bin (or two)
\n\u2022 Baby wipes OR a white vinegar\/ water mixture in an empty spray bottle<\/p>\n
-First things first, you need to declutter the inside of your car. Take the garbage
\nbag out to the car with you and throw away all the trash inside of your car.
\nMake sure to look in every crack and crevice that a little one might place trash!<\/p>\n
-Once you’ve thrown all the garbage away, you’ll need to get a plastic bin to put
\nall the non-trash items like lipstick, stuffed animals, etc. Another plastic bin
\nmight be useful for those items that need to stay in the car, such as travel
\ngames or maps. Set aside.<\/p>\n
-When all the clutter is gone, you should give your car and your mats
\na thorough vacuuming. If you don’t have a hand held vacuum, I often find that
\na lot of automatic car washes have a free vacuum station right
\noutside of it!<\/p>\n
-When your car is completely free of anything except the car parts themselves,
\nyou can finally start to clean. Mix 1\/2 part water and 1\/2 part
\nvinegar in a spray bottle for household usage and spray on the dashboard,
\nsteering wheel, and door handles. Let set for 30 seconds and wipe with a clean
\ntowel. Baby wipes also work wonderfully for wiping down these particular
\nparts of the interior.<\/p>\n
